The Paralympic Games are an international multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities. The Games are held every four years, one year after the Summer Olympic Games. The first Paralympic Games were held in Rome, Italy in 1960.

The 2020 Paralympic Games were held in Tokyo, Japan from August 24th to September 5th. The Games were originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

China topped the medal table for the fifth consecutive Paralympic Games. Great Britain finished second, and the Russian Paralympic Committee finished third.
