Xtreme Gaming and Team Falcons Fall To The Lower Bracket of TI13

Xtreme Gaming, one of the favorites to win The International 2023 (TI13), has fallen to the lower bracket after a 2-1 loss to Team Liquid in the upper bracket semifinals. This is the second consecutive year that Xtreme Gaming has been eliminated in the upper bracket semifinals.

Xtreme Gaming had a strong start to the tournament, winning their first four matches. However, they lost their first match in the upper bracket to Team Aster and then lost to Team Liquid in the semifinals.

Xtreme Gaming will now have to fight their way through the lower bracket if they want to win TI13. They will face Team Spirit in the first round of the lower bracket.

Team Falcons

Team Falcons, the other Southeast Asian team in the upper bracket, also fell to the lower bracket after a 2-1 loss to Tundra Esports in the upper bracket quarterfinals.

Team Falcons had a strong start to the tournament, winning their first two matches. However, they lost their third match to Team Spirit and then lost to Tundra Esports in the quarterfinals.

Team Falcons will now have to fight their way through the lower bracket if they want to win TI13. They will face BOOM Esports in the first round of the lower bracket.

The Lower Bracket

The lower bracket is a single-elimination bracket. The first team to lose two matches will be eliminated from the tournament.

The lower bracket is often considered to be more difficult than the upper bracket, as teams have to win more matches to reach the finals.

However, the lower bracket also gives teams a second chance to win the tournament. If a team loses in the upper bracket, they can still win the tournament by winning the lower bracket.
